Maori

This week for our first maori session for week 1 term 4 we were learning about the book called: In the beginning. We first read the story about in the beginning then we watched a video that tells us about the story. The story is about the 6 gods called: Tu, Tawhirimate, Rongo, Haurima, Tane and Tangaroa. Tu, Tawhirimate, Rongo, Haurima and Tangaroa all tried to split their farther and mother apart but they couldn't so Tane said hell do it and just laying on his back and pushing up with his legs he split them apart. We also sung a song that the people sung when the people came back from war. Then researched about the Rohe New Zealand and Trible areas of New Zealand. You Can see the site.
