This week at cbersmart we were learning about web surfing. An example of web surfing is not sending personal information to strangers which are people you don't know. Smart Media (Completed)

L.I is to finish the smart media slide
This week for Cybersmart we had to finish off our smart media slide from last term a couple of weeks ago. We had to just answer the questions on the last three slides. They were about: Who made the cereal, What are gimmicks and what is the purpose of the cereal. It was about the coco crunch cereal and how it tricks people to buy it. This is the completed slide.

This week for our Cybersmart we had to play a game called: CoCo's AdverSmarts. It is a game that shows you a cereal. It is a real cereal that has been turned into a game for kids to play then the kids will think it is cool and buy the cereal. The Game is about finding 5 gimmicks. We had to find gimmicks in this game. A gimmick is something that makes people buy it. I found the first thing which is the: Theme, Second is the description, third is the character, fourth is an activity for them and last is a free prize. These are all the gimmicks in the game. This game isabout you trying to find 5 gimmicks.

L.I to identify the purpose of the information presented in media.

This week for Cybersmart was to understand the purpose of media. We had to make a slide about media which was Smart media: Media is a construction. We had to First we had to watch the video of Media then we had to take 2 photos. 1 for a school photo and 1 for a family photo. Next we had to Make 2 word arts/Clouds about: Family/Friends & School. I had a picture of a Bat flying with words about school and I had a photo of a rocket ship & Words about friends and family. It was really easy for me because me and Sione T were the only ones that had showed this word art/Cloud and blogged it which i have blogged already. This was fun for me because I got to write words in 2 pictures and mess around with the font and color.

What is Media?

L.i is to make a copy of this and figure out what Media is
This week today we had Cybersmart. For Cybersmart we learnt about the word: Media. Media are mobile device apps that you can use to send information and  Communicate on. For an example if you go on Gmail you can send information and Emails to others. My first time I header the word Media I taught it meant: Types of Communication sites/apps. Now I know what the word Media is. This lesson taught me what the word media means and how we use it.

Netiquette Rules

This week for cyber smart we had to write some netiquette rules. We had to write about what to DO and What to NOT DO. I had over 10 rules which is 5 for each Do and DON'T. It was easy because I already knew a little about it.

Smart shopping

L.I is to try to tell us about advantages of online shopping and in person

For cyber smart we had to write the advantages of online shopping and in person. I had done Read description for in person and online shopping I done cheaper online item. This was an easy activity because I knew a lot of online advantages and in person shops.

For Cybersmart we had to make a Venn Diagram of Places you can go in person, Both person and online, and only online For an example you can only go to Rainbows end in person, You can go to count down in person and online which is get it delivered to you and last is you can only shop on trade me online. I had 9 for Person, 9 for Both and 9 for Online. We had to make a plan on the white board first so we know what to do.

Anpanman

L.I is to research about Anpanman or Doraemon
Today we have been resarching about anpanman. He is an animated character
made up by Takashi Yanase who lives in Kita, Tokyo Japan in a country in the
Northern Hampshire. This is a good thing to research.

Filing Files

L.I is to clean our drives with a partner

Today we had to get into partners and clean our drives. We had to sort and remove old stuff that we don't need like things from last year and from week 1. I had only 3 empty files to remove in my drive. That was my This vs That, Mottos and My emblem. The reason why we did this is so we can have a tidy drive and also we can organise and get our important stuff easily. Because if we can't find it we will have to restart what we have to do. I put My emblem and my mottos in inquiry and I put the This Vs That in the trash. Now my drive looks clean.

Creative Work Attribution

L.I is to attribute creative work to the owner

Today I got a reminder of how to attribute images when I get a image from google. I had to Link the work, Creators name, Link to creators page, license and Link to license information. I learnt by making a google drawing with the Image then click on the image that was on google then copy and past the site to the word photo, write by and the creators name. After that put the link to the creators Page and then get the creators License. Lastey Link the iformation to the license Information.
