Maths Challenge

L.I to create a DLO about how you solved this maths challenge
This week for maths, we created a DLO about how we solved this maths question challenge. We first started as a big group to work out how the first question should be solved, using the most eficient stratergy. Then we chose a partner to work with. I worked with Vayan. We first worked out the answer to each question, then we out the answers on our DLO. We then put on the main information. Lastly we made a rule, which was the main focus of this session of maths.

Basic Facts Box (Addition)

L.I is to complete one of the basic facts boxes 

This week for my basic facts box I did my addition. I had done 10 baxes from tmes tables 1 - 12. This was good from listing my times tables multiples that will reminde me and will make me remember and help me solve other questions. This is a big improvement and now am fresh and warmed up for maths.

Addition DLO (Video)

L.I is to create a DLO showing the stratergy choosen
This week for maths we had to make another DLO, but for our next maths stratergy. This stratergy was addition, but this week was a bit hard because Mr Ogilvie said we have to add the algorithm to my stratergy so I chose addition because the algorithm of addition is HTO which is basicly Place value. I made a video first explaining the meaning of addition then the algorithm. The video is a 1m video and will show you the basics of addition. This was an easy activity and can't wait to do the animation for next week.

Add/Sub, Multi/Div & Ratiors (Not FInished)

L.I si to make 3 slides about Add/Sub, Ratiors solving and Multi/Div
This week for writing we had to make 3 slides showing: Add/Sub, Ratiors solving and Multi/Div. Our groups were: Me, Alice and bella. We made 3 slides for each. We decided to blog our unfinished work because we wont be able to blog it any sooner and beause it is the last day of the trem. This will teach you how to solve problems using Multiplacation, Dividing, Addition, Subtraction, and ratios.
