This week for maths we created a DLO that explains the food we are eating in a week and the prices of them. Our budget is 200 dollars and we were to find the right amount of food for a week for the right amount of money. We (Angela, Sela, Jayden, Joseph and I) used $199 with a remainder of $1. We had different food for everyday, but we had maybey 4 or 5 foods that are the same. I liked this activity because it was fun and it included food and money.
I am a Year 8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teacher is Mrs Anderson.

Maori: Simpsons Family Tree
This week for maori we created a simpsons family tree. We created this activity so we could focus on learning maori family phrases. Ko wai te papa o Lisa? Means who is the papa of Lisa, which is homer simpsons. These are the phrases we learnt, but there are many more like who is your mum, or grandad or sister. I liked this activity because I learnt new maori words and it included the simpsons.

Wasp Life Cycle
This week for reading we created a DLO showing the life cycle of a wasp. It starts off with the queen wasp laying eggs, then the eggs turn into larvael, then the larvae turn into pupae, then into a drone, queen wasp or a worker wasp. We were going to make an animation, but it was too hard so we changed it to a DLO.
