Stardome Trip
Lastnight Thursday my class and I went to the evening stardome show in one tree hill. The stordome is a place where you can go to see the planets, stars, constellations and even more. We went to see the planets Jupiter and Saturn. We also went to the the stars and the constellations. When we got inside we saw some interactive thing on the way into the dome. "Woah" I said. It was so cool. We went to the back seats which are the best seats in the dome. When we sat down we looked up and saw clouds moving around. When the show started we first tried to spot the sun which we did. Then our stardome teacher Tobias went to fast forward the time to night time so we could see the stars. The first thing I saw was the milky way which is our home galaxy. Then we went back in time to see the first star that would pop up. Next we went into constellations. Tobias told us about different constellations like the Scorpion, Sagitarius, Maui's Hook and many more. We then went to Jupiter and Saturn to see what it looks like and to find out about them. An interesting fact about Jupiter is that Jupiter has 67 moons. Another interesting fact is that Saturn has rings made out of dust and ice. We then finished the evening show and went out back to the stardome to go and have a read of those interactive activities. I came across a weight machine that cheks your weight on earth compared to different planets. I also came across a gravity ball where you roll the ball around the sides of the spinner then when the ball slows donw almost stopping it goes into the middle. When we finished looking at the interactive things we said our goodbyes and thankyou's then leftv on the bus back to school to get picked up.
