Last Swimming Session
This week was our wals week of swimming. We started off with our sequence which was 5 things that we learnt. My sequence was: Streme line, free style, sculling and back floating. Most people forgot to make a sequence so our instructor made one for us. It was: mushroom float, T, Streme line and Free style. I forgot it so our preffesional swimmer who use to do swimming lessons: Matthew went first so I knew what to do. Next was to free style to the end, Treat water for 30 seconds then free style back. Last we had to dolphin dive to the end of the pool and high five our instructor and thank them for our last session.

Time Vocabulary
L.I to make slides of Time vocabulary
This week for maths we had to make a slide of Time vocabulary. For an example I did: Time, Analog Time, Digital time, 24 hour time and AM and PM. Time is a precious thing people invented to tell when it is time for something and to tell when it is so they know. Analog time is a click or watch that has the long hand and the short hand telling the time in mins and hours. The long hand is mins and the short hand is hours. Digital time known as the easiest time to tell because it doesn't have hands. It has the time already for you in numbers. 24 Hour time is a day in time which is a midnight to another midnight which is a whole day basically. Lastly is AM and PM. Am stands for After morning which is the 12 pm to 12 am which is the morning and PM is past morning which is afternoon to night.
Swimming WK 9
This week for kiwi sport we were doing: Sculling for 3 mins and treating water for 3 mins. We first started off with the board doing streamline. We had to kick with our board straight with our head in the water. Then we tried it with no board and it was easy.
Next we had a challenge to do and it was to try to scull in the water for 3 mins. It was kind of hard because my legs and arms were hurting from the power I was using with my body. After that we had another challenge which was treating water for 3 mins. It was harder than sculling for 3 mins because we have to move our arms opposite and move our legs opposite. It was hard because we had to not touch the floor. Some people had to use the noodles because they couldn't keep their legs up.
Lastly was a sequence. We had to think of 5 things to do to get to the platform and back. We all taught it was to hard so our instructor said that we only had to choose 4 to do. I came up with: Stream line, sculling, floating and Free style to there. Then we did it but back to where we started.
The last thing we did was to listen to our instructor to give us her to give us 4 things to do which was: Mushroom float, T, stream line and Free style. This weeks swimming session was great because of the sequence of doing 4 things there and back.

L.I is to have fun on the last session for this term and learn
This week we had our last session for week 9. We first talked about what we were learning about this term. that was: Perseverance, Resilience, and goal setting.
Because it was the last week for this term we started with an energizer called: Link arms which is frustrating for us. We started off with a tagger and he or she taggers everyone. That the people at the end tag people. Next we were talking about the game arm link and was it hard.
After we played the invisible touch game. If you want to know the rules here they are: RULES. We were easily winning because we knew how work together which was sticking together and when someone tagged your team mate they can tag you. At the end everyone went but we tried and loss. This week for the last session of kiwi can Term 3 week 9 was fun.

Defensive Structures
L.I is to make a defensive structure that will survive the shock wave
This week we had a visitor from the NZ military forces called: Mr Issac Chang come to talk to us. we were learning: Dumb bombs, Smart bombs, Control, Camouflage, Shape, Dynamite, C4, Missiles, Bombs, Grenades, Size, Nuclear, Shock wave and more. We then watched a video about Nuclear shock waves.
The shock wave pushes and goes away then comes back like sucking it back in the air. So we decided to make a structure to see if we can protect a helicopter by making a stable structure that will hold when the shock wave occurs. We made a tent kind of protection that will hold the structure protecting the helicopter from the sides and the top.
We were getting some kick boards to make wind to see if the wind will knock down the structure. We were looking at other structures like: Cylinders, Folding and Sid covers. We unfortunately got broken because the wind was strong and pushed our structure away. We had fun and thanked Mr Issac Chang for teaching us.
Duffy Visit
L.I is to learn about Michel Mulipola
This week yesterday we had a Duffy assembly. A person called: Michel Mulipola came to our Duffy assembly. He was a: Comic artist, A professional wrestler and a pro gamer.
He was cool because he got inspired by reading books, school journals and coloring in. He then knew that he would be best of writing and drawing comic books, Anime, School journals and other types of books.
He was a famous NZ wrestler who has lost of belts and last week he was holding the NZ champion belt until he lost it in a wrestling fight. He is famous for writing Comic books and other books. He wrote a book about: Dwayne Johnson and sent it to Dwayne's mum.
Lastly he was a semi pro gamer. He was the master at: Taken and Taken tag. he wen to the world championship gamer and went into the competition. He was gaming and lost to this person that shuttle punched him and came: 10th place in the whole world.
He was a really cool person and I taught he was one of the most famous people in the world. The most famous thing about him was that most WWE wrestlers liked his comics and books. He got to meet: John cena, Dwayne Johnson, and even: Samoa Joe which is currently the baddest wrestler / man out there.

Hand Cannons
L.I is to make a presentation about your technology you chose
This week for inquiry was different. Instead of MR Wong choosing what technology we have we have to research. We had to research to find our own technology to present about. We researched and found that hand cannons were used to destroy walls so we chose it. Then we had to research about it. We didn't have to to practice presenting our work to the class so we decided to just blog it.

Maths Stations
LI: Trying to learn about the perimeter by using grid paper and plastic squares to measure.
Today we finished off our 5 stations on how to measure and multiply the perimeter and the area together with plastic squares and grid paper. This week for maths we have been learning how to measure perimeter and area together and multiplying them to get an answer. We also learned about answering and multiplying the perimeter and area and finding out the answer. The answer can’t have decimal included because that would mean the area and perimeter aren’t squared. In the first station we had to try and find the smallest perimeter for 36 squares and find the smallest perimeter for 48 squares. In the second station we had to using 48 squares and then we had to find the smallest perimeter. The third station we had to use the calculator to find out the answers for the square roots of a square tile.In the fourth station we had to move, cut and tape 36 square tiles to make a base of something. First we made 36 tiles then we moved and cut and taped it together. Then we did the same but with only 10 tiles 2 x 5.. In station five we had to use grid paper to find the smallest perimeter for each room in the house. In the house there was 3 - 4 bedrooms and they were all different shapes.
