Venus Fly Trap Process Example



L.I is to write a 18 sentence explanation about Venus fly traps using and changing MR Wong's sentences.
For writing we had to write an 18 sentence explanation about Venus fly traps using and changing MR Wong's sentences. I was stunned about the amount of work we had to do for our explanation, But I finally did it. I had 6 paragraphs. But for our must do we had to enplane how to use paragraphs. I am going to show you now. SO! in order to use paragraphs make sure to write a lot then this is when you need paragraphs. When you finish 1 idea you press enter 2 times for the next Idea of you anything.

Samoan Language Week


L.I is to make an explanation about Samoan language week
Today we were learning about Samoan language week. Pua, Nevaeh, Jonathan, Harlem and I were working in a group for this task. We made a google slide about the Samoan Flag and Crest, And a slide about the Samoan Coat Of Arms. For the Samoan Flag and Crest we learned what the colors mean, what the Crest meant and why were they made. Next was our last slide which was about the Coat Of Arms. We learned about The Samoan Coat Of Arms is a Silver Shield that represents the five stars of the Southern Cross. We also learned about the Motto Fa'avae i le Atu means God be the foundation of Samoa. Samoa is one of the Hardest cultures to speak, In fact Samoa is one of the most popular cultures that people speak even in different countries. I couldn't speak Samoan at the start but now that I am practicing I know how to say some Samoan words. I also have some numbers that I have learned, I have learned how to count to 10.

Compulsory tasks


Word Ring



Today we did 1 of our compulsory tasks which was the word Ring. for the word ring we had to write words in the digestive system into the word ring and put which is in which and closest to the heart. For the bottom we had the words: Mouth and Stomach. Next ring we have the words: Esophagus, Rectum, Gallbladder and the Liver. Next Ring we have the words: Pharynx and appendix. And the front top ring we have the words: Blood, salivary glads, spleen and the pancreas.

Picture / Poster


Today we finished our 2nd compulsory task which was the Picture / Poster. Leroy drew this cool picture of the digestive system and what is in it. In the digestive system drawing we have: Mouth, Esophagus, Stomach and other words. He has drew lines to the picture of each word of the picture from the part of the digestive system. He had 8 parts in his digestive system drawing.

Explanation
  • Mouth
    • Earthworms swallow food through the mouth. A flap, called the prostomium under
    • the mouth holds the worm’s food in.
  • Pharynx
    • The food (Dirt) travels down to the pharynx, then from the pharynx the dirt
    • gets lubricated in mucus that makes it smiley and slick.
  • Esophagus
    • The food dirt comes down from the Pharynx then gets mixed
    • with calcium carbonate then the calcium carbonate neutralizes the acid in the dirt.
  • Crop
    • The dirt slides down to the Crop which s a storage point. Then the dirt gets mixed together.
  • Gizzard
    • From the crop the dirt moves to the Gizzard. Because earthworms don’t
    • have teeth the dirt gets grind ed and the dirt gets turned and mixed.
  • Intestine
    • After the dirt passes through the Intestine. Then the friendly bacteria beginners to
    • break down the food so that the blood vessels that line the intestine
    • can absorb this and carry the nutrients into parts of the earthworm's body.
Anus
  • Finally all this food waste that has been passing through 6 processes
  • the waste goes through to the Anus and leaves the earthworm's body.

For the 3rd compulsory task we had to write an explanation for any type of digestive system. For our digestive system I had an Earthworms digestive system. We have the: Mouth, Pharynx, Esophagus, Crop, Gizzard, Intestine and lastly the Anus those are the 7 parts of an Earthworms digestive system.

Slide Presentation


Today We had finished our last Compulsory task. It was to do the slide presentation. We had done: Large intestine, Small intestine, Stomach, Liver and the Esophagus. We had to find what they are and what do they do. We also had images of those body parts from the digestive system. We had a decent amount of work done for this task. The hard part of the digestive system to enplane is the Stomach because I know about all the other digestive system parts but stomach sounds like an easy part to explain but its because we have to explain what the stomach is and what the stomach dose.

Kiwi sport wk 4 T2


For this week we (Group B) had to go to kiwi sport which is Rippa rugby. Our coach's name was called Hamish. He was teaching us the basic games and the Basic skills in rippa rugby. First we played a game called: The most Rippas. Everyone has a rippa belt and 2 rippas and you have to run around and try to snatch other peoples rippas and put them on your belt but if you have no rippas you can still get other peoples rippas. We had fun and played a lot of games we enjoyed it. Thank you to Hamish for teaching us.

For reading we had to do the Keyword and Reminders. We have to find keywords and remind the meaning of that word. I had 12 words to find for the book from counting kakahi. I had to find less words I think but I found more words. I was also reading the story while I go pass those interesting words because I am wanting to find interesting words and read the story too. We also had to do the concept star as well.

Today I have commented on Fanini's blog. I told him about how his work is 97% out of 100%. I liked his work follow and complete his goals and to never give up that is the most important thing in life never give up and follow your goals.

Earthworms explanation


L.I is to make a copy of this document and talk about earthworms
Today I have been working on my explanation and I am done. I have done the Introduction and the Explanation and the conclusion. For introduction I had to do an Introduction as always and for the explanation I have to enplane about earthworms then the conclusion you do what you have just explained and what is this process connected to.

Volume & Capacity


L.I is to find 2 things in the class and Mesure the Hight, Width and Depth. We had a cardboard book box and a ticket basket which was hard. We filled the card board box with 102 tens blocks and a ticket basket with 84 colored dominoes. It was a guess for both of them but I was close with the 5 cm. I took a picture of whit I used for the volume of how mutch can go in the basket and cardboard book box.

Kiwi can T2 WK 4


Today we as group B went to kiwi can. First we played a game called doggy Doggy and you have to try get the pen from the person that is waking the foam without getting waked and if you get waked then you have to go back to the white board and come back and do it again but you only have a limited time. Next we talked about our Topic and Theme. Our Theme was Role models and our Topic was Integrity. Finally and Lastly we had our last thing which was the activity and it was called WHO IS MISSING? you have to take one person and hide them then the other people have to try to guess who's gone then we went back to class.

They were kei te pai which is good, kie te makariri which is cold, kei te riri which is angry and lastly we have kie te wera which is hot. And you had to draw like happy smile hit ear muffs scarf angry face with muscles and sweaty for hot.

Inquiry Task: Double sequence chart


Today I have been confused with our inquiry must do and we had to do some tasks for our inquiry credits so I blogged this COBRAS double sequence chart for credits and I have done Humans and cheetah. We were doing the sequence for Humans and cheetah for the nervous system which was in steps how the nervous system works. We did tasks like: Song lyrics, Explanation, Double sequence chart and Venn diagram.

Kiwi sport

This week for kiwi sport group B went outside with MR ogilvie to play and learn some rugby because our rugby instructor was away today. First we went on the hand ball 4 square so MR ogilvie can enplane what we are doing. Then we had a game of everyone's it then we had another rule with teams then another rule if your out you can tag other people. After then we ran to the fence and come back to see who is going to be first. Next we had a competition to see if Bibs or NON Bibs can pass rugby ball to each person to get to the cones then lastly we sat down to remember our lesson for next week for our 2nd lesson.

The Nervous system


L.I is to plan and write an explanation.
This week we have been learning about the Nervous system. We had to tell you about The: Title, Introduction, Explanation and conclusion.Then we had to copy and past every thing that we wrote on the TIEC doc onto my writing Journey.Then we had to do the writing date and the writing focus and the writing purpose. The one hard thing about this must do is explaining how it works because there is many steps how it works and because the nervous system is as fast as a bling of an eye.The easiest of all is how fast is it because all I said is:The nervous system is so fast it is as fast a a blinking eye.This is a good research must do. I like the fact that if there was no nervous system how would we be able to know what to do.

Maori


L.I is to learn a whakatauki for you in a slide
Today we came to class to do Maori. We had to do a whakatauki which is 1: Name, 2: Greeting, 3: School, 4: Parents, 5: Siblings. I had only photos for slides 2 and 3 because I don't have photos for parents and siblings and I don't have a photo of my name slide.

Kiwi Can

Today group B wen to Kiwi can. First as always we went into three lines. Then talked about our theme and our catch phrase. Our theme was integrity and out catch phrase was making good choices. Next we had our Energizer which was called opposite. we had to do the opposite of what Mrs Lilly dose. So for an example if she steps forward we step backwards and if she puts her hands up we put our hands down. After that we had our activity which was Terminator tag. The rules are: Everyone's in, If you tag someone then you get out they are back in, If you tag at the same time rock paper scissors and lastly you can't wait till people finish rock paper scissors then tag them because if you wait then tag them it wont be fair for that person.

Kiwi Sport: Soccer

Yesterday Thursday we went outside with MR Ogilvie to Have a football/soccer game for the people who signed up and for other people in LS1. We had fun because we learned how to stop the ball easier, We learned how to pass propoly so no one can get the ball when you pass and finally we learned how to Kick not to far and lastley we had a game of number calls so if he calls 3, 3 people run and try to score.

Today I have finished MRS GREN inquiry and it was awesome because we learned about the 7 scientific life process for every living thing. The Mrs Gren stands for Movement, Reproduction, sensitivity, Growth, Respiration, Excretion and Nutrition.

Today I have finished my work for maths. The work for maths is to explain to you people how the work the game the Multiplier and explain where to use it. I have been using the multiplier for a long time and it really helps. It can split the answer in half 3's and quarters. My answer was 96 and my question was 12 x 8.

Today I have finished my work for Reading. We had to do this. It was looking at the text's and saying and writing what the text type?, Purpose?, Reliable?, and what you think about their text. I had done four text called: Food and Nutrition, Children's health products' Be healthy eat healthy and smile and lastley Kidspot. I also had  an Audio. It includes all 4 text types included.
