Blog Post Data Analysis

L.I to create a DLO explaining your average blog post count and your blog post goal

Today I made a DLO showing a graph of my blog posts. 2016 I blogged 19 blog posts. In 2017 I blogged 204 blog posts. In 2018 which was my highest blog post count, I blogged 291 blog posts. This year I have blogged so far 21 blog posts. This year my goal is to blog 800 blog posts. I need 265 more blog posts until I reach that goal. I also really like to blog because it helps me focus and I like to put my work on my blog so people who are interested can read it. Next year my blog post goal will be 1000 blog posts. Maybe that will get me to the blogger of the week.

L.I to make a Poster about stretching sentences
Yesterday we learnd about stretching sentences. We learnd that we can use who, what, when, where, why and how to stretch and make a better scentence. My example was This morning on the driveway I was running to the school bus because the school bus almost left without me. Basicly stretching sentences is when you have a basic sentence then you add the 5 w's and the H to make a better sentence.

Dare Impact Message

L.I is to create a DLO / poster about what we learned with Constable Cyrus
Yesterday Constable Cyrus came to our class (LS2) to teach us about alcohol, cigarettes and drugs. We first learnd about alcahol. One thing I learnd about alcahol is that it effects how we act and do things. Next we learnd about cigarettes. One thing I learned about cigarettes is that it might give you lung cancer. Lastly we learnd about drugs. One thing we learnd about drugs is that if you are a dealer and you sell cocain then you will go to prison for life. I chose to make a DLO about alcahol. I made a DLO about drinking and driving and how you can kill people and how it effects both families. Drinking and driving is not ok, aspecially when you take away someones life. So we need to stop drinking and driving.

Boy On A Bike DLO

L.I to create a DLO about the story called boy on a bike and measure the distances
This reading session we read a book called: Boy On A Bike. It is about a boy called Mac and his dad Craing who traveled from Cape Reinga to Wellington in 11 hours to raise money for St Johns. This was an amazing achievement from someone like Mac who is 9 years old. He might go and travel the south island of New Zealand to raise more money fro St Johns. Cape Reinga to Wellington is 1,063.4 KM'S away which is a far disrance by bicycle. I can't wait until he rides his bike aroud all of the South Island of New Zealand.

Plastic Bag - Explanation Self And Buddy Evaluation

Giovanni
Self and Buddy Evaluation:

Plastic Bag - Explanation
Are you aware that if you are wasting single use plastic bags then
you are harming our environment. This is true, scientists predict in
2050 there will be more plastic in our ocean than fish.

Plastic bags are going into our oceans causing our sea creatures to
most likely die. There are sea creatures right now that are getting
harmed by plastic such as sea turtles and jellyfish. There are over
100 sea creatures that are harmed by plastic. Did you know that the
most harmed sea creature by plastic is a sea turtle. More than 1 million
sea turtles are harmed by plastic.

It is not only our oceans that are getting harmed, but also our
land. If you put your rubbish in plastic bags then the rubbish you
put in there goes to the landfill. The landfill is a random place
big enough to dump rubbish. Our rubbish could be as big as 27,000
jumbo jets or as big as Eden Park Stadium full of rubbish up to 1 km
(kilometer) high.

There could be a solution to stop plastic bags from going to our oceans
and our lands. We could start using reusable bags or we could keep using
our plastic bags over and over again. Nothing is wrong with single use plastic
bags. You could use them more than 100 times to reduce the amount of plastic
bags being wasted.

This is why we should start using reusable bags or keep using our old plastic bags.

Kiwi Sport WK5 T1

This week at Ki-o-rahi we learnt about Ki oma. We learned about how Ki oma kicks the ball to start and if the taniwha catch the ball then Ki oma starts to run and touch the po. First we started off with Ki oma kicking off then we played golden child. Then we played another game. We won both games. This time I got to be the guardian to stop the taniwha throwing the bal at the rock to stop our team from running. I think we had a lot of fun this session.

Reflection: We had a lot of fun, and I can't wait to go to our next session which we will be playing a real game of Ki-o-rahi.
