Netiquette Rules

L.I is to make a google drawing about the netiquette rules
This week for cyber smart we had to write some netiquette rules. We had to write about what to DO and What to NOT DO. I had over 10 rules which is 5 for each Do and DON'T. It was easy because I already knew a little about it.

Man & Sea

L.I is to write as many inferences as you can 
This week for reading we had to make inferences about the book called man & sea. This is a book about a boys papa getting a traditional Samoan tattoo in the SAMOAN house. Everyone is acting like its a funeral but its not. People are also singing. I made 7 inferences about Man & Sea.

Robby and his Daughter Sara went to the beach. They went for a swim in the water. Sara slipped into the water.After the swim they went back to the car.



“SHOW”

Robby and his Daughter Sara went to the beach. They could see the beautiful clouds moving slowly as they hear the waves swaying against the yellow sand. The daughter fell in the water and tasted the salty sand for the first time. They were laughing away as they were walking back to the car.

L.I is to make a slide of MRS GREN then make a video
This week for inquiry we had to make a video or present live to the class. First we had to plan on a slide or document to plan out what you are going to say live or in your video. We made a slide of what we were going to do / say. We made a video on the last couple of mins but our video had bad audio so we decided to present live to everyone in front of the class. We were having fun watching other videos.

Mix Number, Proper & Improper / Fraction, Percentages & Decimals



L.I is to learn Fractions, Decimals and percentages.
L.I is to understand mixed number, Improper and equivalent fractions.
L.I is to understand Corresponding Fractions, Decimals and percentages.
This week for maths we were learning about: Mixed numbers, Improper and proper fractions, Equivalent fractions, Corresponding fractions, Fractions, Decimals and Percentages. For our Must Do we had to make a copy of 2 google draws called Mix Number, Proper & Improper & Fraction, Percentages & Decimals. We had to answer the questions for each google draw. Then we had to do the fraction with materials and take a picture of which materials you used. I used sticks for every fraction on the google draw. The easiest google draw was the percentage one. I learnt about fractions.

Audio Book


L.I is to Brainstorm a Narrative
L.I is to Write an 18 sentence Narrative
This week fro writing we had to plan about writing an 18 sentence Narrative But it was just a plan Because next week we are writing an 18 sentence narrative. We were writing abut a dog called tom that is lost in the forest. He is scared and he lost his owners but in the end he finds them. Then we had to record an audio book about our narrative. I have got an audio book for you to listen to for my narrative.

Kiwi Sport ( LAST SESSION )

This week for kiwi sport we went to the hall for our last session with hamish. We played a rugby game for the whole session. We came 1st because we ( TEAM 4 ) won all our games ( TEAM 1 ) came 2nd,
( TEAM 3 ) Came 3rd and ( TEAM 2 ) Came last / 4th place. We had fun and we were blue. We thank hamish for teaching us rip pa rugby.

L.I is to learn about the Respiratory system and Circulatory system
This week for inquiry we were learning about the circulatory and the Respiratory system. For my task I chose to do the Fish bone. You have to write a Part from the Respiratory system or Circulatory system and then you have to write more than 2 things about those parts. I had the: Circulatory system. The parts I done was: Blood, Heart and Alveoli. I had 2 structures for each. I was going to do the other fish bone with spelman but I decided NO. This is not finished work.

Kiwi can WK 8

This week we ( GROUP B) went to kiwi can. The first thing we did in kiwi can was play an activity and the activity was a game most people know: Shark Attack. To play shark attack there is people in the middle. 2 Sharks / Taggers and 4 hoops. When people are walking around you are not aloud to go in the hoop or your out. When someone calls shark attack people have to get into a hoop and if your foot is not in the hoop then the taggers can tag you and then you are out. Then if there is less people in you could take away 2 or as many hoops as you want away so its easier for the taggers to get the people out. Then after our activity we talked about our topic which is: Telling the truth and don't lie. Next we had our energizer which was hand soccer. For this game you have people in a place with 2 goals and you can only use 1 hand for to push the ball. Lastly we had our G K Q. Now is our points, we were OUTSTANDING we got 5,5,5,5 and 5 which is the top number and the top score all together to make 25.

Maori Lesson

Today we had our Maori lesson with Mrs Fire Odi. We learnt about 2 Taniwha called: Mak-e and Whaitaitai who lived in wellington. Then lived close by the harbor but whaitaitai broke out by smashing through the rocks and dirt to get across the Barbour. Mak-e was just staying there hoping whaitaitai would come back because Mak-e couldn't go through the tides. Then he died. We also had to try to make a paper fish with 2 strips. It was hard but I decided to just make my own by making it by random, We had fun!

Commenting

Today I commented on Lukahs blog. I talked about how good his work was, I told him that it was hard for me to, I told him to keep up the good work and I told him to never give up. This must do was the same as mine. We had to work on our fractions. I told Lukah that I was finding it hard but then I figured out that for the word story we had to write a story but explaining the fraction that you chose.

L.I is to infer information from a text
This week for reading we were learning about Inferring. We got into our reading groups and we had a couple of examples and did them with our groups. Then was our must do which was to make a copy of this document called Inference detective where you have to read all: 4 texts and infer about them. I had 4 infers for TOM, 5 infers for Hannah and 2 infers for Fred. I only had 2 infers for Fred because , Fred was hard. Fred was sad and saw a photo of his wife on the wall of his local shop and I inferred that his wife died. Inferring is reading a text and comparing the text with what you already know then using what you know to infer about the text.

Think Board


L.I is to count in fractions forwards and backwards to a named whole number.
L.I is to recognize a whole of an object, part of an object and equal parts and their names.
For maths we had to learn about fractions. We learnt about the: Denominator and the Numerator. The Denominator means to decrease and the Numerator is the Number. To remember which is which just remember that the Numerator stands for Number and that the Denominator decreases the number. Then we made a copy of this google draw called the: Think board. For this activity/Must do you had to draw an image with shapes of your fraction. Then you had to take a picture/photo of any equipment, For an example Jelly beans and Counters. I used fractions because they were easy to use and explain. Next we had to name other names of this fraction and I had these names: 3 parts of 4, 3 parts out of 4 parts, three fourths, 3 quarters and 3 fourths. The last thing we had to do was the word story. The word story was the hardest thing to do because we had to write a story explaining your fraction. I talked about my mum baking an apple pie but I had to share it with me and my 2 brothers. 1 quarter of the pie was burnt do we all got 1 quarter each.

Maths Methods

L.I is to explain the Japanese method of multiplying and the lattice method
This week for maths we had to learn the Japanese and lattice method. Then we had to Create our must do which was to show people how to use the Japanese and Lattice methods. Using screen castify or google slides to create or record this must do. I had to explain the Japanese method lines which took a long time and I did the lattice which was worth 2 slide and took 2 minutes.

Commenting

Today I commented on Hosea's blog about fractions. I told him about how good his fractions work was and I told him on his blog, to keep up the good work and never give up. To me I would of said to him: " You should have an image or something either than just words". But I didn't want to be sad because he tried his best to do his work and he never gave up.

Kiwi sport 2nd to last session

This week we (GROUP B) went to the court to hamish for our 2nd to last session of rip pa rugby. We learnt how to pass back word and how to rip when people step you. Then we played a game of 2 team octopus, where you have to have 1 team ripping and 1 team running. The running team has to get passed the rip pa's 6 times then they win but if the ripping team rips everyone then they win and if you get ripped your out and you stand to the side. Then teams switch to running and ripping. After that we had a game of real rip pa rugby. Where we have to use all of our skills learnt in this session to score as much points as possible. We finally came first out of all the teams because everyone in our team contribute in this game and never gave up. Everyone payed attention and closing those gapes not letting anyone go past and score points. When I had the ball I passed it to a girl then she passed it to Andrew then Andrew passed it back to me then a stepped Sione T and scored our team points. We had to get as much points as possible and our team got 7 points.
We had fun at this session and now I am looking forward to our last session next week to learn new skills.

Maori

This week for maori we (GROUP B) went to LS1 our class and waited for Mrs fire odi. We had to do a word search for words that are part of the maori. Then we had to write a song about Matariki which is the 7 stars song but the full song and in Lyrics. We also learnt about new songs which were the matariki song, which are the 7 stars names. We had fun at maori with fire odi we look forward for our next session.

Kiwi Can WK 7

This week we (Group B) went to kiwi Can. We learnt about Honesty and telling the truth. Then we had our activity which was Buddy walk. For buddy walk you have to get a buddy then if you hear banana you have to switch to the front if you hear apple is going under, Fruit salad is find a new partner and pear is get into another pair and kiwi fruit is one person get on the ground and one person get on top and act like driving a motorbike. Then we talked about our topic and then we played our energizer. For our energizer we played
copy me. You have to try to copy Mrs Lilly and not get it wrong. I had fun at kiwi can and can't wait for the next session.

Fish bone Task [Not Finished Work]


LI: to describe the structures and respective functions in the human respiration system and circulatory system.
This week for Inquiry we have been learning about the Circulatory system. The Circulatory system is a system that includes body parts that move and pump and work things in your body just like: Blood and the Heart. The Blood moves around your body and into muscles to keep them moving and the heart pumps the blood in your body, pushing the blood to move. I had done a task for the circulatory system which is a Fish bone. I had done three facts from the circulatory system, Although this isn't finished work this is just a blog post. I had done 2 facts for heart, 2 facts for blood and 2 facts for the Artery. I just have to do 3 more structures for the fish bone, That are part of the Circulatory system. If you want 1 credit you have to get 1 fact for each of 6 structures. If you want 2 credits you need to get 2 or more for each structure then you can get 2 credits.

Narrative Reminders




L.I is to Identify the structure and Language features of a Narrative
This week for writing we first got 2 pieces of paper that we had to write on and those texts were: Alien Invasion and The kites terrible day. We had to write the Title, Orientation, Problem, Events and solution for both texts. We also had to look for Past tense words and a speech. The other extras we looked for was: Simile, Metaphor, Alliteration, Personification, Onomatopoeia and Hyperbole. Then next we had to write our must do which was to write What TOPES mean and the structures of a Narrative.

Then we had to make a Flipgrid video telling them what the book is about and 3 words you didn't understand in the book. You have to say in your video what 3 words you didn't understand and what do they mean.

Fish Bone


For Inquiry we had to do our tasks and I chose Fish Bone. When you have to do 6 parts of circulation system and I chose Blood, Nose, Nasal Conchae, Pharynx, Lungs and Nostrils. I had 2 for each so we could get 2 credits. To get 2 credits you had to do 2 or more functions for each. And if you do 1 for each you only get 1 credit. The easiest function was Nostrils and the hardest was the Nasal Conchae. Lucky I could finish this task.

General Knowledge


This week we had a Challenge and our Challenge was to make a General Knowledge post. I had to choose Term 2 Week 6 and those Choices were: Easter Island, New Caledonia, Vanuatu and Tuvalu. Then I chose New Caledonia because it sounded interesting. I had to do 4 different types of topics to do nut I am not going to say them because there are too much. I had to do altogether: 17 Slides. This was Interesting because I learnt new things about a new country New Caledonia.

Kiwi sport

This week at kiwi sport we ( Group B ) went to the court. Then Hamish said Hello then we re capped what we learnt last week which is Passing, Throwing and and Kicking. This week we were learning how to side step. Which is going up to someone then pressing down with your left / right leg then pushing of and going the other direction. Sometimes other people press of then do it again then go the opposite direction. Then we had a game of Rip pa rugby but with stepping and back passing. We had fun in that game. Our first game was against Red we Won 7 to 5. Our 2nd game was against blue we lost 6 to 9. We had a rematch and won 5 to 3. Then we watched the last round which was Blue vs red and Red won by 7 to 6. We ( Green ) Came 1st and then Blue came 2nd and red came 3rd. We ( GREEN ) got 3 points, blue got 2 points and red got 1 point. We had fun during this session with Hamish and we enjoyed it thanks to Hamish for taking us out for this session.

Smart shopping


L.I is to try to tell us about advantages of online shopping and in person
For cyber smart we had to write the advantages of online shopping and in person. I had done Read description for in person and online shopping I done cheaper online item. This was an easy activity because I knew a lot of online advantages and in person shops.


Kiwi can

Te Reo Maori

This week for Maori we learnt new songs and learnt even more about the Matariki stars. The matariki stars are 6 sisters and the mum. There is also the dad of them. We learnt some new songs called AIO KE TE AORANGI. There is also a book called: READY TO READ MATARIKI ( AUDIO )We also did some research and watching videos about matariki stories just like this one: MATARIKI STORY ( ENGLISH ) And this one: A MATARIKI STORY.

Nutrition


L.I is to blog a task you have done this week for Inquiry
Today I have done a task for inquiry. It is the word ring. For the word ring you have to do a Description for the Digestive system then name the parts of the digestive system in the ring. So the top ring is the further est part to the digestive system and the middle/bottom ring is for the closest parts to the digestive system. I was going to do blood but I thought that blood wouldn't be any where near or far from the digestive system so I decided to leave blood. This task was not easy because of trying to think of some parts further est and closest to the digestive system.

Keywords and reminders

L.I is to summarize a text using key words
For Reading we had to do the key words and Reminders. We had to use this Site: Follow Your Food!
It is a good site to learn about the digestive system and the places your food goes on the way. I couldn't do a Screen Castify because it couldn't work and it said Not available So I decided to write it. I am doing a site review on the site called Follow Your Food! It is a good site to learn about the digestive system just scroll down. Now I like to use this site because It shows you where your food passes on the way. I give this site a 7/10 and 70% out of 100%. Use this site for any research work it is good to use I recommend this site.

Smart Shopping CYBARSMART


L.I is to make a Venn diagram with only in person places, Both and Only Online places
For Cybersmart we had to make a Venn Diagram of Places you can go in person, Both person and online, and only online For an example you can only go to Rainbows end in person, You can go to count down in person and online which is get it delivered to you and last is you can only shop on trade me online. I had 9 for Person, 9 for Both and 9 for Online. We had to make a plan on the white board first so we know what to do.

Kiwi Sport WK 5

This week for kiwi sport we went to the court to see Hamish for our 3rd kiwi sport session. First we started off with a game called Rip pa Rush. For this game you will need: A belt with 2 rip pa's on it. Then you will need 2 people in the middle while everyone else is at the line. Then the 2 people have to say for example: people with shoes then everyone with shoes has to run and the 2 people have to rip a rip pa to tag/get you out. Then we re caped our learnt skills from last week. They were: Kicking, Passing and Ripping. After that we had a game of rip pa rugby where you have to score a try. Next we started to do 3 groups passing where when one person has the ball they pass to next person then next person.We enjoyed our lesson with Hamish.
